National Grid film recognised at EI Awards
Paean Films’ short film supporting the National Grid’s entry for the 2021 EI Awards has helped secure the Public Engagement Award for the utility company at last week’s ceremony. The coveted accolade recognises those who have successfully raised awareness of an issue across the energy industry.
Produced in collaboration with the business award writers at Boost, the film casts a spotlight on the transformative benefits of the Hinkley Connection Project STEM Education Fund on young people in Somerset and how the programme aims to nurture and inspire the next generation of engineers.
To date, the Education Fund has granted 862 applications from local schools which has supported over two hundred thousand pupils, including forty thousand from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Commenting on the project Adam Price, Paean Films’ managing director, said: ‘it was a pleasure to collaborate with Boost to raise awareness of this most vital scheme by the National Grid and I am delighted that our enthusiasm was shared by the judging panel at the EI Awards.’
